This means that you have to pay 4 mana to bring back two creatures. keep in mind that Isshin does not copy the ability, he just triggers it an additional time. A lot of times I've drawn him, I'm already making so many more creatures than my opponent that they couldn't block even if they wanted to and I really just needed something to buff my creatures so I'd have lethal.Īlesha, Who Smiles at Death. He's good but kind of expensive, at 5 mana you could be playing a spell that buffs your creatures to do more damage. A few I recommend:Ī few specific cards in your list to think about cutting:Īnkle Shanker. Adriana and fervent charge are good, but I wouldn't rest/rely on those and getting some cheaper pumps to cast earlier on is really powerful.

You're missing a few that you should consider: Having the creatures come into play attacking is such a big difference that cards like Grave titan IMO are too slow. I run 16, and if not for budget I would run closer to 20. In your current list, I count roughly 10 cards that create tokens/bring creatures in attacking when they attack. If you're doing tokens, you need A LOT of token creators. Then replace the miner (who doesn't do anything without lightning runner) with ] which can at least help you draw if you don't get the runner. Personally I would cut all your extra combat stuff except for Aurelia, Godo, and Lightning Runner. I find it is more important to get the cards that have the attack triggers you want than it is to be able to do multiple combats. honestly the deck can put out so much damage that you don't need to have extra combats, let alone infinite ones. I'm looking for suggestions on anything to cut, as the deck is a little over 100, and anything super good/important I missed.Įdit: ignore the og duals, my group is ok with proxies which is why those (as well as the tutors) are in thereĪ couple of my thoughts after playing Isshin and going through a couple of builds.ĭon't worry about extra combats that much. provided creatures that can get through ( or wear down the opponents creatures with dolmen gate/iroas, or getting attack triggers and then ] -ing them out of combat to generate infinite tokens to overrun the enemy)Ī few defense based triggers like ] ] and ] help keep enemy attackers off our back, and provide additional tokens from kazuul, some life from ravens, and monarch with decree.Īll that mixed together with ramp, card draw and removal makes the deck tick. Two infinite attack combos are present in ] + ] / ], as well as ] + ] + isshin. The goal of the deck is to generate a ton of tokens and use attack-trigger buffs to overrun my opponents. So I'm working on an isshin combat triggers/tokens with a bit of an extra combats subtheme.
